Book Recommendations #2
In this post, I list another set of books that I highly recommend.

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert B. Cialdini
This book focuses on psychology and the “art” of persuasion. Influence is a powerful skill to have. As Uncle Bed said, “with great power comes great responsibility”, so study it with respect. Also, it could help you understand when and how yourself are being influenced.
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
One of my most favourite books. A philosophical work that covers stoicism mindset and ideas. I have read this book multiple times already and each time I gain new insights, ideas and motivation.
Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell
A book that dives deep into successful people’s stories and aims to identify the reasons why these outliers are successful. A great sociology book hinting (slight spoiler alert) that sometimes being in the right place at the right time can be really beneficial.
Mythical Man-Month, The: Essays on Software Engineering by Frederick Brooks Jr.
A timeless book on software engineering that tells stories about challenges and ways to solve them. It is really interesting to read how engineering practices evolved during those years and how we still haven’t fully solved certain problems.
Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann
Highly technical book that covers patterns, architectures and ways for designing and building highly scalable data-driven solutions. If you want to expand your technical knowledge and understand how IT gigants build their applications, this is a must-read.
